Registration, profile, employer & settings

How do I register for Toogethr Cycles and how do I complete my profile?

If the company or government agency you work for is a Toogethr Cycles partner, you can sign up as follows:

1. Open the app and enter your business e-mail address (not your private e-mail address);
2. Check the conditions and tap on "Receive verification code";
3. You will receive your verification code in your business mailbox. Pay attention! This code expires after one hour. When it is no longer valid, you can easily request a new code again;
4. Enter the verification code in the app;
5. Complete your profile with the requested information;
6. You are ready to start your first bike ride!

If your employer is not (yet) a partner of Toogethr Cycles, you will receive a notification in the app and in your business e-mail address. Contact us at support@toogethr.com and we will help you.

I get a notification that my company is not a partner of Toogethr. What to do?

There are two reasons for that:

The company you work for is not (yet) a partner of Toogethr Cycles.
If the company you work for has not (yet) joined Toogethr Cycles, you will receive a notification in the app and to your business email address. Send an e-mail to support@toogethr.com with your business email address and the name and address of the company you work for. We check whether your employer meets the conditions. If so, we will quickly ensure that you can log in and use the app.

The company you work for is a partner of Toogethr Cycles.
To be able to use the Toogethr Cycles app, you can only log in with an email address with the business extension of your employer and your employer must be located in the municipalities of Beverwijk, Heemskerk or Velsen. Don’t you have a business email address? Contact us at support@toogethr.com and we will add you to your Toogethr Cycles community. Hereafter, you can log in and use the app.

I am a freelancer and work for various companies in the municipalities of Beverwijk, Heemskerk or Velsen. Can I earn points for all my commutes?

If you work for one company for a longer period that is a partner of Toogethr Cycles, you can earn points for your commuting cycle kilometers. You can choose a maximum of one company in the app. We advise you to choose the company where you work most days of the week.

I work in different locations. Can I earn points for all my commutes?

If you work at different work locations, for example in different care homes of one chain, you will earn points for every commute, regardless of the location you cycle to. Don’t forget to indicate the correct work location for your bike ride. For example, if you are a home care worker and you cycle to different private addresses every day, you will unfortunately not receive any points. If you work for different companies, choose the company you cycle to most often and earn points for these commutes.

How do I update my profile?

To update your profile:

1. Tap on "Profile" on the bottom of your screen;
2. Tap on the subject you want to edit or change for example your profile picture;
3. Don't forget to save your changes.

How do I change my home location?

To edit your home address you can do the following:

1. Go to the "Plan" screen and tap on "Add new alarm";
2. Tap on "Add a location";
3. At "Your locations" you see "Add home location" where you can enter and edit your home location.

How do I change my work location?

Your work location is already preset in the app. We use the zip code of the company or organization you work for. Do you cycle to different work locations? You can indicate the correct location while planning your bike ride:

1. Tap on "Plan" on the bottom of your screen and tap on "+ Add alert";
2. Tap on "Add a location";
3. At "Your locations" you see “Add work location” where you can enter your work location.

Is a work location not preset in the app? Send an e-mail to support@toogethr.com and we will help you.

Why is it suggested to enable "Notifications"?

These notifications let you know when you are invited by a colleague for a bike ride or when there is an update. They also remind you to start your bike ride in the app when you are about to get on your bike.

Enabling "Notifications" is not mandatory, but we would like to keep you informed about your cycling adventures!

I want to delete my account. How do I do this?

What a pity to hear that you want to delete your Toogethr Cycles account. Send an e-mail to support@toogethr.com and we will delete your personal data. By doing this, you will no longer receive any messages from Toogethr Cycles.

Why do I need to enable GPS and how does Toogethr use my GPS signal?

We ask you to turn on GPS to validate your rides. We also need this information to validate your orders in our webshop. The points you save are worth money. We validate the rides to determine whether the points were rightly obtained.

What data do we use:
• Departure location(s)
• Location during ride
• Arrival location(s)

Once we have validated the ride, we anonymize the ride data and add the data to the community total data. We then remove the above mentioned data from our system. We emphasize that we only use GPS information for validation purposes and information for the specific community and that this data is not shared with your employer or with third parties.

How do I allow Toogethr Cycles to access my GPS location?

In order to grant you the correct number of points and to be able to enter the webshop, we validate your bike rides through GPS. We ask you to turn on your GPS and allow Toogethr to access your location services. It is preferred that you always leave your location service switched on, but you can also choose the option “While Using the App”.

Follow the steps below to set this up:

iPhone:
1. Go to "Settings" on your phone;
2. Scroll down until you get to the Toogethr Cycles app and tap it;
3. Tap "Location";
4. Tap "While Using the App" or "Always".

Android:
1. Go to "Settings" on your phone;
2. Tap "Apps and notifications";
3. Tap the Toogethr app;
4. Tap "Permissions" and enable GPS by tapping "Location" (green = enabled, gray = disabled)

The Toogethr Cycles app is not (yet) available for Windows phones.

All about bike rides

Where can I see which community I belong to?

After your registration, you will see what community you belong to. Tap on "Community" on the bottom of your screen to enter the community page. Here you will find the name of your community and more information about current challenges, promotions and articles.

How do I start a bike ride?

To start a ride, you do not necessarily have to plan a ride beforehand in the "Plan" screen. You can start a ride at any moment by going to the home screen "Register" and tapping the green "Start!" button.

Once you arrive at your work location, click “Stop” and the points will be added to your account. Pay attention! If you do not click on “Stop” on arrival at your work location, you will not receive any points. After 25 minutes of inactivity (if not paused), the app automatically ends the ride.

If you already know that you want to go for a ride in the future, it can be useful to create an alarm. This 'cycle alarm' reminds you to start the Toogethr Cycles App before you start cycling, so you will be able to earn points during the ride.

How do I plan a bike ride?

3. Enter the departure and arrival location of your ride. Preferably enter the entire address;
4. Enter a time and choose whether this is the arrival or departure time (for example, depart at 9:00 or arrive at 9:00);
5. Confirm your ride by tapping "Add alarm".

You have now created your ride.

After tapping on “Add alarm” you have the option to:
Invite people: You can invite people for your ride. You do this by tapping "Invite people";
Add recurrent rides: Want to do the same ride more often? No problem! Tap "Add repeat" and select the days on which you want to repeat the ride.

How do I create a recurrent bike ride?

1. Tap on an existing ride in your "Plan" screen or create a new alarm;
2. Tap on "Set recurrence";
3. Tap the days when the ride should be repeated (green = on, gray = off)
4. Tap on "Save changes"

Each repetitive ride is now listed separately in your ride overview in the "Plan" screen. When you edit a ride, you can choose to edit only this ride, or all repeating rides.

Note: the repetitive rides continue automatically. Can't make the ride due to circumstances? Don't forget to cancel the ride(s).

Can I pause or stop my bike ride?

Yes, that's possible. When you start cycling, click "Start!". After completing the bicycle ride, click "Stop!". Before getting on your bike, make sure your GPS is on your phone. Are you taking a break? Then click on "Pause". As soon as your ride continues, click on "Resume" bike ride.

Once you arrive at your work location, click “Stop” and the points will be added to your account. Pay attention! If you do not click on “Stop” on arrival at your work location, you will not receive any points. After 25 minutes of inactivity (if not paused), the app automatically ends the ride.

How do I invite someone to share a bike ride?

If you want to cycle with your colleague, you can invite them directly:

1. Tap "Plan";
2. Tap on the ride you want to invite someone to or create a new ride by tapping "+ Add alert".
3. Tap "Invite people";
4. In the search box, type the name or business email address of the person you want to drive with. If someone already uses the app you can enter the name, if someone does not have the app yet you can enter the business email address and send an invitation;
5. A list of colleagues appears. Tap the one you want to invite for your ride;
6. You can add multiple people. Tap "Send Invitation" when you're done.

How do I edit a registered bike ride?

1. Tap "Plan";
2. Tap the bike ride you want to edit;
3. You can adjust the following here:
       • With who you cycle with;
       • The recurrence of the ride;
       • The departure and arrival location.
4.   If you want to cancel your ride. Go all the way to the bottom of the page and tap "Cancel this ride";
5.   If you edit a repetitive ride, you will be asked whether the adjustment is only for this ride or for all upcoming rides.

Where do I find my previous rides?

You can find all your rides in the Toogethr webshop:

1. Tap "Rewards" on the bottom of your screen.
2. At the top you will find your previous bike rides;
3. Tap "View ride history" to see a list of all the bike rides you've done. Here you will find the date on which the ride was made and the number of points you have earned with the ride;
4. Tap a bike ride to view detailed information about the ride.

I don't see my bike ride in my ride history. How is that possible?

Did you tap "Start" at the beginning of your bike ride? If not, this ride has not been registered. It is nog possible to change this afterwards. By planning your bike rides and allow "Notifications", you prevent this bad experience from happening in the future.  

Sometimes there is a delay in processing the rides and the associated points. When the ride has ended, the ride must be validated. If the ride still does not appear in your ride history after a while, please contact us at: support@toogethr.com.

Toogethr Cycles strives to accurately record every ride. However, a trip may not be properly registered due to circumstances. In this case, points cannot be allocated afterwards.

Webshop

What is the Toogethr Cycles webshop and where can I find it?

Tap "Rewards" on the bottom of your screen and you will enter the webshop. Here you will find your previous bike rides, the points that you have earned and the rewards you can order.

How many points did I earn?

You can find your points in the webshop. Click on "Rewards" on the bottom of your screen and you will see your current points below your recent rides and above the items in the webshop.

How do I place an order or donate my points to charity?

1. Tap "Rewards" on the bottom of your screen to enter the webshop;
2. Tap on the reward that you want to order or on the charity that you want to support;
3. If you earned enough points for this item, you can add it to your cart.
4. Be aware: every time you tap on an item, it is added to your cart (tapping 3 times = 3 items).

What is the delivery time of my order?

Your order will be processed and shipped within 8 to 14 working days.

Has it been more than 14 working days since you placed your order? Send an email to support@toogethr.com

I did not receive my order?

Processing and shipping orders can take 8 to 14 business days.

Have you ordered a reward? This will be sent by e-mail in the form of a voucher to the email address you provided. It's possible that this email ends up in the junk mail. So don't forget to check it. Note: the sender of this email is Gift Concepts, not Toogethr.

Has it been more than 14 working days since you placed an order? Send an email to support@toogethr.com and we will check the status of your order.

I want to order an item in the webshop, but I cannot add it to my cart. What to do?

If you cannot add the reward to your cart, you did not earn enough points to collect the reward. You can find the total amount of points below your recent bike rides and above the items in the webshop.

Toogethr, Partners & Data Privacy

What is the Toogethr Cycles app?

The Toogethr Cycles app is a free app made by Toogethr B.V. The app encourages employees to cycle to work. In the Toogethr Cycles app you can easily indicate where you want to go, what time you want to get on the bike and what kind of bike you are using (normal / electric or race bicycle). The app keeps track of your journeys and mileage and rewards you with points. You can then spend these points in the webshop.

Where can I find and download the Toogethr Cycles app?

The Toogethr Cycles app is available for free in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Search for "Toogethr Cycles".

Do participating partners also receive my personal data?

When you download Toogethr Cycles and your employer is located in the IJmond area (municipalities of Beverwijk, Heemskerk and Velsen), you will automatically be included in the cycling community of our partner IJmond Bereikbaar. Your name and address details are shared. Data about cycle kilometers, rides and redeeming points in the webshop, are only shared at company level. IJmond Bereikbaar does not share personalized data with third parties.  

When you place an order in the webshop, the following information is shared: name and email address. This is because the orders are executed by an external party. Data such as location, home and work address are not shared with external partners.

What information is shared with the people I cycle with?

You share the following personal information:

• Name
• Profile picture
• Extra information at "Something about yourself"
• Phone number (colleagues can also call or text you)
• Departure and arrival locations of the shared bike ride

What personal data does Toogethr have about me?

Toogethr has the information you enter in the profile (name, job title, etc.). This is only shared with the persons with whom you cycle together.

Toogethr Cycles also needs your GPS information to validate your rides.

In addition, we sometimes need information such as your address for sending your orders. We store this information securely and for a short amount of time and it is only accessible to the Toogethr colleagues who process your order.
