We’ve all been there: you finally arrive at your place of destination after having been stuck in a long traffic jam, only to find zero free parking spaces! Parking pressure is a common problem, but how can you solve it? We’ve diven into it for you and are about to give you some useful tips!
The Toogethr tips for parking
Tip 1: be on time. Make sure you beat the crowds so that you can easily get a parking space.
Of course we understand that this is not always feasible, so we continue with tip 2: The key to success is patience. Wait until a parking space frees up. We have proof that you find a parking space more quickly if you wait a bit than if you keep driving endlessly around in the parking lot looking for a free space. Endlessly driving around also increases your stress level and fuels irritability.
Tip 3: Don’t be afraid to ask! Just ask passersby if they’ve just arrived or if they’re about to leave. If the latter is the case then you can park in their parking space.
Tip 4: Use a parking app. These days there are apps you can use if you’re looking for a parking space. Like for example Park-line, Yellowbrick, Park mobile, ANWB parkeren and App-parking. These apps don’t only indicate where you can park, but also offer the option to pay your ticket via your mobile phone. This saves you the trouble of looking for the nearest ticket machine. Staying longer than anticipated? Not to worry, these apps allow you to simply extend your parking time. That way your ticket will remain valid and you avoid getting a fine.
